If you play on console you can usually find it in the bargain bins. Highly recommend it, especially for that price. Searching round creepy crime scenes in first person is very atmospheric. It helps drive the narrative along in a way that continually engages you in a way that cut scenes often don't. When you come across a crime scene you enter into a "detective mode" where you have to look for DNA, take crime scene photos, use a blacklight to check for blood splatters, etc. The excellent sound, and combat design make for gruesome combat that feels weighty without feeling too slow. On top of that there are guns, but they're really rare and usually only have a couple of bullets in them. It makes it so that the first one to mess up usually dies. If you block your enemies swing they stagger, if your enemy blocks your swing you stagger. In combat you have two main buttons, a swing, and a block. The game is built around a really fun, intense, almost rhythm based melee combat where you take objects from your surroundings (pipes, wooden boards, etc.) to use as weapons.

Noire's greatest achievement is making you truly feel like an up-jumped cop in a moody film noir. Groundbreaking facial animations considered, L.A. Noire still looks good today, but more importantly, it's also just as engrossing to investigate murders and climb the ranks of the L.A.P.D.
